Lighting
For lighting we had to decide how much light would look best in the scene, this was difficult to manage as we where filming outside. We used Mid-Day as it gave us the correct amount of lighting for what we where trying to achieve, the canopy of trees gave us the darkness and the affect we wanted with there still being enough light to see the everything in shot. In this scene Alice was outside walking through the forest, we filmed Alice walking throught the trees and ariving at 'the tea party'. We decided Mid-Day was best as in the book of 'Alice in Wonderland' the time for the most part was day. We did not have to use any additional lights as the day-light was enough.
In the basement, for the 'fake Alice' scene we used only the light in the basement which happened to be very minimal due to the lack of lights. We decided this would be good for suspense and builds an atmosphere as you cannot see the entire image in our variety of shots. This was also good for creating shadows which we used for the killer.
In the killing scene we again used the basement but this time with the addition of D-lamp, flood lights. This created ambient lighting and therefore were able to see more of the scene and the extent of the death wound.
